Staying at home today. Not going to gym. Pretty disappointed my 100 Greatest Soul Hits has some re-recordings. But I enjoyed it when I got in Cardiff and I still enjoy it now. The lesser known artists are the original recordings.

Also re-hearing some Metal (MTV Headbangers Ball Vol. 2 2 CDs) in order to prepare my Meza Virs (Singaporean goth metal) CD review. Not too bad.

Managed to get a Leon Lai look with my flat hairstyle again. Nice praises from Dorcas, the Officer who works in our trust office (subsidiary?).

Was so bummed by my 6 hours of drafting that I had to unwind with some metal - Meza Virs from S'pore. Not so aggro also. Pretty melodic. Otherwise bogged down with work.

Digging the Beach Boys HAUL I got. Still wanna get Carl/Holland twofer as well.

Saw Pan's Labyrinth yesterday. Pretty good but ultimately depressing. Love the Pale Man with the eyes on his palms.

Wai Wai my date is not bad. Wore a low cut dress so can glimpse her cleavage. She kept covering it though. Sha Huey in Church doesn't do that. She seems happy I lust for her.

Went to the obscure music shop in Central Market and qot quite a haul. Buzzcocks alternate and out-takes (which sound more punkish than their released versions anyway but checking out their singles soon), Can's Ege Bamyashi (very cool), Silver Apples' Silver Apples/Contact (a bit like 13th Fllor elevators jamming with Kraftwerk) and Who's Live At Leeds 2-CD expanded edition.

Saw a press preview of Mr. Bean's Holiday on Tuesday. Pretty dire. It's free can't complain too much but spent a lot on taxi fare as it was quite late.

Spending too much time on Cap's Trout Mask Replica. Engaging but pretty soon moving to elitism. Sigh!

Went to Telok Gong for Seafood jus now. Not too bad although I had better. Uncle spending us so no worries.

Managed to transfer a bunch of stuff from my bro's hard disk to my MP3 player. My music tastes dissimilar to his but managed to find some stuff I like.

Byrdmaniax which I got yesterday is not very good though. However, still hooked on Dylan's TOOM and Clash's London Calling.

Managed to listen to Cap Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica. Didn't like it as much as the other two - Strictly Personal and Shiny Beast (BatChain Puller).

Went for Body Pump only at gym today cos fed-up with RPM and the stuck-up bitch was there at Body Attack.

Got my MP3 player, a Samsung. Not a bad price at RM310. Considering the seller dude said it is the same sound quality as an Ipod. He could be jiving me. Anyway, the Creative ones look pretty uncool. My Samsung looks cool.

Also replenished my Clash's London Calling and Dylan's Time out of Mind on CD cos my cassette copies are fucked and I like the two albums immensely. Bought Arcade Fire's Neon Bible, Tom Waits' Swordfishtrombones and Byrds' Byrdmaniax (still want to complete my Byrds discographic collection). Gonna get my cuz to transfer his songs to my MP3 player.

Supposed to go Telok Gong (satellite town of Klang) for seafood but there's a huge family row. Damn fucking fed-up with all of them man. That's y hiding in a cybercafe.

Went for my third treatment of root canalling just now. Venu (my senior partner) asked me to come back to the ofis. Asked me to type a letter wor. Pretty much can ask the fat bitch clerk to do it. Bloody Hell! Me making it back to ofis in all this rain. Fuck shit hell, man!

Not watching Pan's Labyrinth this Sunday. Which is fine cos the showtime is a bit early and I'll miss Body Jam and Su Lin (she's tops!!!!!). Cheng was pretty flustered I agreed to cancel it, all because of Su Lin. Don't think Cheng's fit to lick the toes of Su Lin, even if it sounds like a great lesbian fantasy.

Saw Cheryl the stuck up bitch and Eva the who-won't-talk-to-me-for-some-unknown reason-girl. Two quite nice regulars (chicks) I observed also. And Ang's back. Haven't seen him since b4 CNY.

Was so fucking fed-up with work today I couldn't even say how fucking fed-up.

I suppose during the college years I was hot for her. But no response then. Then she became schizophrenic and everything was like simmering down. Only got her as a gf last year. Then complained about some red lights flashing after I kissed her.

Got Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band's "Shiny Beast (Bat Chain Puller)" and "Strictly Personal" upon pugeye's (he's the guy converse with me regularly on a music review BBS) recommendations. Both not bad at all. Eugene (my cuz) downloaded Cap's Trout Mask Replica for me. Also asked him to d/l Residents, Can and the Polysics (all pugeye's recommendations). Ought to be getting them in a few weeks' time. So it ought to be a Cap, Krautrock, J-Pop, Zolo (Residents belong to this genre) fest.

Bought some Nike trainers today. Also got Johnny Cash's American Recordings IV and V. Nice stark arrangements. Pretty strange to find Elvis' "Run On" (a gospel song) being called "God's Gonna Cut You Down" here (probably its original title).

Also getting an MP3 player for all the transit time on the local Tube/subway/LRT. Can't decide between Creative or IPod.

Watching Frank Miller's 300 today with that tudung (the Islamic scarf for the hair, usually called "hijjaz") chick. Wonder if she'll take off her tudung for me. Ha ha ha!

Meeting Su Lin again. Love the new Body Jam release. Went for the launch on Wednesday and won a 100 ringgit Nike voucher. Must be me and the gym's yuen fern (destiny). Also getting Johnny Cash's American Recordings IV and V today.

I did the class in my CNY clothes. Hot but looked better doing it.

Also bought 3 J-Pop comps, Thomas Dolby's Flat Earth, Cabaret Voltaire remix and Byrds' Younger Than Yesterday. Really on a crazy shopping spree after my pay hike.

Yeah before I forget - I just ordered Johnny Cash's American Recordings I to V and Bob Dylan's Biograph box set from Rock Corner (local CD shop). Usually reliable if you keep chasing them.

Finally, Isabel agreed to go out with me. Not yet bf-gf but we'll see.

Pugeye from the Music Babble and Only Solitaire Bulletin Board Services recommended me some stuff and I talked Eugene (my cousin) into downloading some of them. The Bit Torrent website had the entire Residents back catalogue but it's about 70 gigs so my cuz is probably not downloading them. They also have the Polysic's entire back catalogue but I'll probably listen to one album. No need to buy a cow to get milk, eh?

Jus got a cassette player yesterday. Spent the whole night listening to music. Also missing gym/Su Lin and church/Ai Ni today. Bought a heap lot of clothes yesterday and ordered new specs.

Had a gift from God yesterday but didn't use it properly. My ciggies tasted bitter so I tot I'd better quit. Also watched Ghost Rider yesternight. Not as bad as the reviews said it was. Quite fun actually.
