Just to update on some stuff I got:-

Mahalia Jackson - The Essential - Her voice gives me goosebumps.
American Hardcore soundtrack - nice bridge from punk to grindcore
Lotsa classical - Paganini's Violin Concertos, Delius' Orchestral Works, Erik Satie's Best Of and Bartok's Viola Concerto - Delius and Satie I got mainly cos Mark Hollis of Talk Talk likes them.
Miles Davis' Bitches Brew and Live Evil - fine fusion.

Bro was pissed off at my cuz's wedding dinner cos ex-aunt asked my family to sit separately. Ended up mom got gastric. Bro's such a bastard. Me shelling out for the ang pow as well. Shit!!!

Got Talk Talk's Spirit of Eden a coupla days ago. Nice ornate pretty instrumentation although the songs themselves aren't that great. Cannot see all the kudos given by Mojo Magazine to this album as richly deserved.

Got the Buzzcocks - Complete Singles Anthology also just now. A bit pissed half of Disc 3 is an interview. The songs also sound not that different from the out-takes on Chronology. Still, Singles Going Steady, a better comp, is hard to find. Also, quite a lot of 90s singles which I'm not too familiar with. The Arctic Monkeys can go use their piss as beer!!!!!

Was in a middle of some nap when boss called me. Probably wrong number as he didn't say anything when I picked up. The dream I was having was I was driving to some Bar Council HQ and I met some white dudes there with Malaysian wives/gfs. They were gonna have crab. I killed the crab and it was singing about not going to Heaven.

Went for a full-body massage in Novotel hotel. Vinnie, the spa manager, is really sexy. Met up with Niki and hear her yak, yak, yak. Looked so bored til some pimp offered me a prostitute card.

After a long-drawn selection process akin to Darwinism, I have finally found my ideal mate at the gym. It's been a long haul, but my ideal mate is that tall lady who looks like a divorcee, wears her aerobics pants too tight, sad that I'm leaving (my membership terminates this month), probably loaded and has a nice car who goes by the name of May Ling.

Just got two live CDs - Clash - Live : From Here to Eternity and Johnny Cash At San Quentin.

San Quentin is something phenomenal I heard, on par with his At Folsom Prison. I haven't heard it yet cos a bit overdosed on Cash. In the last three months, I got Love, God, Death, American Recordings IV and V. Heard A Boy Named Sue and San Quentin on comps so it should be alright, gua.

Clash Live is about as chaotic as Live at Leeds but their musicianship falls a bit short of the mark though, except for the later tracks. I suppose you can hear their evolution as musicians. But then again, THIS IS PUNK so who cares? I haven't had as much fun with a live album since Kraftwerk's Minimum-Maximum. Excellent Straight to Hell though Guns of Brixton reworked ain't as great. I do have a vivid picture of Paul Simonon at the mike though. Yea! Heavy and a bottle of The Clash. TASTES GREAT! VERY FILLING!!!!!

Went for my first Roman Catholic conversion class today. Spent the whole class trying to look down Hon Ling's loose bra. Ha ha ha.

Also had a facial today. Saw The Clash's Live : From Here to Eternity and Johnny Cash At San Quentin in Tower just now. Probably be getting both or just The Clash.

Fritz Lang's Spione is a silent film set during the rise of Adolf Hitler. Not too bad, the ending's quite patchy though. No. 326 is probably the first forerunner to James Bond. Gives me a handle on my National Security Branch business really.

Claude Chabrol's Dr. M is a kinda homage to Fritz's M. Nothing that great. Although you do get to see Jennifer Beals topless. I'm so into French New Wave thought to get Chabrol. I already have Melville (Le Doulos, Bob Le Flambeur, Le Samourai), Truffaut (Fahrenheit 451), Godard (Breathless, Alphaville, Contempt) so a Chabrol film gives me a sense of completeness perhaps.

Heard that talk about defilement spiritually last Thursday. A bit too heavy for me, but they never talk about sacral defilement, just hinted at it.

Saw Frits Lang's Spies yesterday. Getting a true handle on my status as a NSB guy.
